Game guide
Master Playground Basketball — shooting mechanics, best builds, controls, and pro tips to climb the ranks.
🚀 Getting started
Redeem codes first
Before anything else, redeem all active codes from our homepage. This gives you 20,000+ free coins to kickstart your player build — skipping this step puts you hours behind.
Complete the tutorial
The in-game tutorial explains the stamina system and shooting meter. Many players skip it and struggle later — 5 minutes here saves hours of frustration.
Practice court first
Spend 3-5 practice games learning the shot timing before jumping into ranked. The green release window is narrow but consistent once you find the rhythm.

Coordinated teams win 70% more than solo players. Use the LFG channels to find teammates around your skill level.
🏀 Shooting mechanics
Timing-based release
The shooting meter uses a timing-based release system. Release at the top of the jump animation, not at the peak of the ball arc. Master this and you'll hit 80%+ from mid-range.
- Baseline mid-range: highest green window
- Elbow shots: consistent and reliable
- Corner three: most forgiving deep ball
Stamina matters
Low stamina shrinks your green window and slows movement. Save sprint for fast breaks, and avoid shooting immediately after a full sprint.
- Watch the stamina bar before shooting
- Take set shots, not off-the-dribble jumpers
- Sub out or slow down when below 30%
⚡ Best builds
Don't spread upgrades evenly — specializing in 2-3 stats is far more effective than being mediocre at everything. The Sharpshooter build (max Shooting + Speed) is the current meta for solo carry.
🎮 Controls (PC)
Mobile: on-screen joystick + action buttons. Steal timing: press E when the opponent starts their dribble animation.
💡 Pro tips
Always pass to open teammates
Assists count toward your ranking score. A team that passes wins more than a team of solo shooters.
Grind weekend 2x events
Weekend 2x coin events are the best time to grind for upgrades. Save your playtime for these windows.
Unlock badges early
Badges like "Corner Specialist" and "Range Extender" provide passive multipliers that stack with raw stats.
Steal on the dribble
Press E the moment the opponent starts their dribble animation — not after. Early timing beats reaction speed.
